Installation from seventy-two biodegradable cups with soil and seeds
Part of the preparation for the exhibition “WILD SPOERRI ROSENSTEIN” was a ten-day study trip to Panajachel in Guatemala to visit the artists Elisabeth Wild and Vivian Suter.
The calculated average CO2 emissions of these long-distance flights - calculated on the per head amount of individual passengers - amounted to 72 tons of CO2 for the eleven participants alone.
During the exhibition it was possible for the visitors to take the cups with them and grow the plants themselves. The rest was disposed of after “WILD SPOERRI ROSENSTEIN” was over.
The seeds available thus contribute to the sustainability of the project and offer visitors the opportunity to participate in the intercultural exchange. Not.
I would like to say thank you to Marina Gržinić, Adam Szymczyk, Coco Bayer and Anne Zühlke
